We are proudly aligned with a national financial services firm with offices here in Chicago to help them find a Senior Front End Engineer working alongside the organization’s UX team to help to help build and maintain a multi-channel design system supporting complex financial products. This is a hybrid work environment with offices in Chicago’s loop and provides the opportunity to work with a dedicated, senior product designers in a fast-moving and dynamic culture.
Our client is a financial services firm supporting traders and investors across all aspects of the commodities investment journey. Our client offers the chance to work with global teams on products that evangelize the utility of design systems brokering efficiency across the entire enterprise.

What you’ll be doing:
Build systems in a framework consisting of React, Angular, CSS/SASS/Less
Work with a global team to maintain, expand, and own the design system and branch out to working with individual product teams on specific initiatives throughout your tenure with the organization.
Collaborate closely with product designers on UI design, governance, and guidelines.
Requirements
5+ years in software development with 4+ years of experience in any of the following: React, Angular, Redux, Node.js.
Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6) or TypeScript
Enthusiasm for working within a corporate, consultative in-house team with an interest in financial markets.
